After leaving Symonds Yat, our first destination on our UK based road trip, we decided to pay a quick visit to Tintern Abbey in Monmouthshire.
During the 16th century, the abbey fell into ruin due to the dissolution of the monasteries; a legal process by Henry VIII whereby all income was taken and all of their assets were disposed of.
